Founded in 2016 in Klang, Selangor, Yian Papercut shares the beauty of Chinese culture through the traditional art of papercutting. We teach both children and adults, and have brought workshops to schools, universities, learning centres, shopping malls, bazaars, temples, companies, and more. Our programs include structured classes for deeper learning and experiencing sessions for those who simply wish to enjoy the joy of papercutting.~ A timeless craft of culture, beauty, and meaning. ~

Classes

Learners will spend 45 minutes to 2 hours exploring both the theory and hands-on practice of papercutting. Sessions can be a one-time experience or part of a longer-term program, offering participants not only new knowledge but also the joy and satisfaction of creating their own artwork.

Experiencing Sessions

Participants can enjoy a quick ‘cut and go’ experience — a simple introduction to papercutting for those without much time to sit down. This format is ideal for large crowds and public events.
